I have been struggling with a itchy burning feeling in my vestibule area two three times a year since the beginning of puberty. I would get this extremely uncomfortable and frustrating feeling that couldn’t be scratched away. In the last two years, soon after I changed my contraception from hormonal pills to contraceptive implant in my arm, the frequency escalated to the point where I had two – three days a week completely ruined by this. I’ve gone to several GPs and gynaecologists. Their tests never showed anything and their suggested treatments never worked. I’d tried changing my shower gel to baby soap, my laundry detergent to one for extremely sensitive skin, tried to shower more often, less often, tried to wearonly pure cotton underwear but no results. I was getting desperate, the idea of the rest of my life being like this was unthinkable. And then I was fortunate enough to meet a very insightful gynaecologist who referred me to the private osteopathic clinic Oslo Kvinnehelsesenter at Røa, where I learned that I have vestibulitis. After two session with Tine Oppedal I experienced a noticeable change in my symptoms and after two months of regular treatments my symptoms are almost gone and I am now equipped with understanding of my condition and ways to cope with the symptoms in case they ever come back.
I could not be more grateful.
